    Works as intended

This seems to work as intended. I did some testing with it, but I haven’t had an opportunity to play with my my own certificates yet. They have some help articles on their website for Apache that will be a good start when I do get that far.

Solid Smartcard with plenty of room and features

I received a handful of these with a product demo kit for a password vaulting application from another vendor. These cards worked great. Windows drivers have full read access, you can change the pin with just windows password management, they come preloaded with a PIV test certificate. If you load the drivers for the card from Taglio and use their management tool to map the cert to a PIV slot then they are fully able to be used as a PIV smartcard credential as well as a standard. I was able to get these to store a Microsoft CA Smartcard Auth cert and use them for preauthentication to my vmware view deployment. In addition the C980 is both a contact and contactless card. At this point, I don't have anything other than my smartphone to test that function but they do in fact detect.

When I was trying to get the card to work for smartcard authentication I was put in touch with Taglio support and they were able to identify an issue in my client device firmware and I was able to get the vendor of the client device to fix the issue all because Taglio support was so responsive and helpful. Now I can eliminate the daily need to use passwords on nearly all of my agencies computers. They have a decent amount of storage for multiple certs and support enough features to enable the integration for physical access control as well as digital.
